Heels and Heroes

Heels and Heroes - Tiffany Allee Copy received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I've been a fan of Tiffany Allee's writing ever since I read the first two books in her "From the Files of the Otherworlder Enforcement Agency" (or OWEA) series. I thought they were amazing but Heels and Heroes, although somewhat different, is also really good!

I was so intrigued with the idea of this superhero story. I had never read any book about it yet before Heels and Heroes so I definitely wanted to read this for sure. And I'm so glad I did.

Heels and Heroes has two points of view. One the one hand we have Brenda/Silencer (pretty cool superhero name, huh?) and on the other we have the sexy Justin/Justice, who's a big deal in the superhero world.
Brenda's parents, although retired now, were big shot superheroes so you would think her power would be a great one but that fate has gone to her little brother. Brenda's power is more second rate. She has accepted that fact and has a pretty good day job she's confident in at the hospital's farmacy. But when the villain Howler comes from New York to Chicago. Nobody has been able to take him down everyone hopes Brenda's power can do the trick.

How I loved these two points of view. At first I wasn't so sure about Justice but I quickly came to love him. Especially whenever someone would belittle Brenda's power, even when she did it herself, he'd defended her and her power without a doubt. Gotta love that about him. Even Brenda's own brother didn't think much of her power. Justice should've smacked him around for a bit!

Oh, sweet sweet romance! Brenda and Justice coming together felt perfect. They knew each other already so it felt more real than when it's a total instant-love. I thought I'd die when Justice lied about something because he didn't want to take the risk of losing Brenda someday. Bad Justice! But luckily he came to his senses.

Overall Heels and Heroes was a superb, fun and enjoyable read about superheroes and romance. I loved the whole story and hope more authors will write superhero books because I definitely want more!
